By using condoms from LSE-Holland you will always be safe. Our condoms are available in different sizes that provide you with optimum protection for vaginal, oral and anal sex, whether for contraception or for the prevention of venereal diseases.

The condom
All LSE-Holland latex products are of high quality and have been developed in such a way that end-users can use them with maximum comfort and ease. The latex condoms are packaged in air-tight, aluminium foil wraps. The packaged condoms are available in little folders, boxes or in strong bags for larger quantities. Clear instructions are supplied with each of these units as standard in at least six European languages.

Each condom is electronically tested to provide maximum assurance. The condoms are tested randomly for their strength and leaks. Approved condoms can be used up to 5 years from the date of manufacture as long as they are stored in a cool and dark place. All condoms you purchase from LSE-Holland have an expiry date and an individual production reference number on them. All condoms are only intended for single use.

Lubricant
In our range you will also find condoms that have a lubricant. Lubricants can remedy dryness or discomfort that may occur during use. Our condoms have a silicon-based or water-based lubricant.
Please note: Alcohol-based or oil-based lubricants must never be used as this creates a chemical reaction with the latex that greatly reduces the quality of the condom and can even make it unusable. The lubricant can cause allergic reactions in people who are hypersensitive. However, this seldom occurs. Sometimes a spermicide in a lubricant can cause hypersensitivity reactions. However, none of the condoms in LSE-Holland's range contain spermicidal lubricant.

Quality features
All of our products amply meet current European legislation regarding condoms and latex products as specified in EN ISO 4074-2002.
These regulations specify that all condoms must meet certain production requirements and safety and quality standards. The most important requirements contained therein are:

  • Regulations relating to production and production methods
  • Regulations relating to various factory tests
  • Condoms must be leak-proof
  • Condoms must be strong enough to resist various forces
  • Condoms must be airtight and individually packaged
  • Each package must contain clear instructions for use
  • The expiry date must be stated on the packaging
  • An individual production reference number must be stated on the packaging

There are also all kinds of additional regulations relating to storage, transport and distribution, aftercare, inserts, product tracing, handling complaints, etc.

The CE 0120 indication on the packaging guarantees users that all quality requirements have been met.

We supply an instructions insert in at least six languages and that always includes the language of the country to which our condoms are exported.

You can also download the instructions for use here:

Complaints

European Legislation EN ISO 4074-2002 requires that all complaints, whether these be made verbally, by telephone or in writing, be taken seriously and treated accordingly.
We are therefore obliged to investigate and document all complaints thoroughly. Clients are always notified of our findings.
Of course nobody likes receiving complaints, but valid complaints and comments do help us to improve the quality of our condoms and our organisation.

As the EN ISO 4074-2002 regulations and the strict internal and external checks via audits from the 'Notified Body’ guarantee constant high quality, the actual number of complaints is extremely small considering the large the number of condoms we supply.

Our experience and that of our fellow manufacturers is that almost all complaints are due to incorrect use of the condoms. Clear information provision in general and careful reading of the insert is therefore essential.

It is worth visiting the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Seksuele Hervorming (NVSH)'s website (Dutch Association for Sexual Reform) at www.nvsh.nl for clear and detailed information about using condoms, sex education and other useful facts.

The household test for everyone:       The water balloon test:

Although the water balloon test does not have any real scientific basis, it is a good way to gain an idea of how reliable and strong modern condoms are.

How does this water balloon test work?

Roll out the condom and partially fill it with equal measures of air and water. Tie a knot in it to close it and start to play with it. By all means throw it to your partner, roll it over the floor, pinch it; in short: treat it a little roughly. You will be amazed how strong it is.
However, if you cut your nails and repeat this "test", you will see that the possibility of the condom breaking is substantially greater. You already know that, in general, condoms are sensitive to sharp objects, but by doing this experiment you see that the unexpected (microscopically) sharp edges of, for example, recently-cut nails are all the more treacherous.
